622057 TAG Europa Star COE 33 Borosilicate Trautman Art Glass Rod

Like Io Star, this color is also named for a moon of Jupiter. Europa Star is the most silver-saturated of the 3 new "stars". Dense sparkles like the Io Star, but here the base tends more toward a dark pink/purple tone and and the strong striking nature of this color can hide the sparkles. Highly reactive! Like the other "stars", Europa Star is a flame striker that will deepen it's effects in the annealing cycle at 1050 F. Again, the usual precautions for an adventurine should be taken. Avoid long hot garaging and high temp. kiln strikes.

Size: Diameter 5-7mm, length 20", weight per rod .07 lb, approximately 12-15 rods per pound. There is a quarter pound minimum per color. All TAG rods are first quality.
ATTENTION: Due to the weight and length of the rods you may receive .30 pound vs .25 pound (as an example) when ordering. This will cause the cost to rise and the amount you expect to pay for your glass may change.

If this is a problem, please let us know and we will “underweigh” your glass. This means instead of .25 pound you may receive .20 to .22 pound. Please be aware that it is almost impossible to pull exactly .25 pound. We will always try our best to get as close as possible to the weight that is ordered, but due to the factors stated, these weights may substantially increase the total cost of your order.
