Here is what Pat Frantz has to say about using these colors:

 "I didn't know what I would get out of this series of 5 silvered glass colors from Effetre and I was pleasantly surprised by the rich earthy colors that developed when I heated each one of these colors.

I did slight reduction treatment to each of the colors. I got the most profound luster reaction from the color marked #5 which developed iridescent blues, greens and purple that don't show in the photo of the #5 encased round bead.

I like the different shades of earthy browns, greens, teals and golds that develop as you heat the glass and putting a clear encasement over the colors 1 thru 3. These colors are much prettier in person and perfect to use in organic style beads.

The silver in this group of glass colors can activate color reactions when used with other highly silvered glass colors."
